It Just Takes ONE 2010 Annual Campaign

In November, 2008, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania began its most important and successful of our three major fundraisers of the year.  The It Just Takes ONE 2010 Annual Campaign is intended to solicit unrestricted individual giving.  It has three major phases;

  • Board Members
  • Staff
  • Friends

The Boys & Girls Clubs mission has remained consistent for 109 years.  The many programs offered at the Club allow our members to increase their self-esteem, gain positive perspectives about their futures and empower them to become strong leaders in our community.  Your support for our Club ensures that our members have a place to go where they are physically and emotionally safe, a place with structure and guidance, and a place where they encounter adults who care for and about them.  A myriad of children depend on our Boys & Girls Clubs.  We strive to continue to reach out to our community’s young people to offer programs that provide hope and opportunity to ALL children.

We are asking you, to continue the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania into its next 100+ years.  Our ONE Campaign is upon us once again.  This campaign provides vital unrestricted funds to the Club to provide the many programs and services that our members so crucially need. 

We hope that you will give serious consideration to those needs.  We hope that your commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs is a strong one.  Regardless of the size of your gift, your participation is crucial in helping us to achieve our mission for the future.

The Resource Development Committee along with the Resource Development Director and Executive Director spend the greater part of November, December, and January doing face to face solicitations, making phone calls, and sending out donation letters.  We raised over $64,000 during last year’s campaign, making it our single most successful fundraiser of the last fiscal year.  Our goal for the It Just Takes ONE 2010 Annual Campaign is $90,000.  We encourage anyone who is approached to contribute, please be as generous as you can.
