
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania recently held its annual Youth of the Year competition. The first place winner received a $1,500 scholarship to a higher education institution of their choice; and the runner up received a $500 scholarship to a higher education institution of their choice. The Club members were judged on family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club involvement, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome. Representatives from the community volunteered their time to judge the competition.
